Since I started reviews on Instagram @adoption.books in August 2018, I have had more interest than I ever expected! Every week I have members from all sides of the triad, as well as professionals working in adoption and foster care, asking me to help them find a specific type of book. I get it! I have also been there looking for good books, ordering disappointing books, and feeling frustrated at the money going down the drain.

Here, I hope to offer you an easy way to find books that help both you and the kids you love to learn about, process, and discuss adoption and foster care well. While my reviews cover books that I dislike as well as like, THESE pages are filled with books that I recommend so you know when you click a link that it is for a book that I truly believe will be of benefit to you. I care about you too much to suggest that you purchase books that are harmful to the triad and society’s understanding of adoption. Under each image there are a few notes, including whether the book is Christian faith based or secular (non-religous), adoptee or first parent written, or includes multiracial characters or transracial families
